Ministries

Food Pantry Ministry
The Food Pantry serves approximately 200 families (approximately 770 people) on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.  Donations of clothes, toys and  books are accepted for distribution to the people we serve.  This ministry is totally funded through the generous donations of donars.  If you would like to be a part of this outreach ministry, please note on your donation that it is for the Food Pantry Ministry.

To learn how you can be a part of our Food Pantry ministry, please call Sheila Self or our church office.

Backpack Buddies Ministry
Backpack Buddies is a non-profit ministry organized to help feed economically disadvantaged children in the Brooks County School System.  Many children in our community have very little to eat over the weekend and holidays.  Our mission is to provide these children who have been identified as "at risk" with self-serve meals for the weekends and holidays during the school year.

This ministry is entering its second year of operation.  The goal is to expand the number of children served.  The ministry is funded by the voluntary donations of people in our community.  Please call Julie Swann or the church office to learn how you can be a part of this ministry.

Soul Sisters Women's Ministry
Soul Sisters is an outreach ministry to the women of our community as well as members of Quitman United Methodist Church. Events are planned to encourage growth in our Christian walk. You may follow the Soul Sisters group on Facebook to learn more about our activities.

To learn how you can become a part of the outreach ministry of the Soul Sisters, please call Dara Barwick or our church office.
